The Papazoglou family began their steps in silversmithing in the early 1940s. However, the family tradition begins several years ago in Caesarea, Cappadocia. From there began the first silver and goldsmith of the family, George Arzimanoglou, who finally moved his business to Athens and specifically to Sophocleous Street around 1925. Sofia's daughter and her husband Ioannis Papazoglou, in the late 1960s, played important role in the domestic goldsmiths and in turn left their own indelible mark on the space. It is worth noting that Ioannis Papazoglou together with his brothers Marino and Kosmas had already taken their first steps in the field from their workshop on Havriou Street.
Sofia and Ioannis Papazoglou, as descendants of genuine silversmiths, proved to be worthy successors of the family tradition. Their path in jewelry was groundbreaking and from the goldsmith and at the same time a silversmith workshop at 6 Kolokotroni Street, they created their own dynamics in Greek jewelry. Their son, Georgios Papazoglou, since 1986 at 1 Valaoritou Street, approached this world of jewelry with his own special and more modern aesthetics, walking boldly but also respecting the family tradition.
The special touch and the unique aesthetic approach of the Papazoglou family in the jewelry industry remains unchanged over the years. Today, Alexis Papazoglou has taken the baton, who, inspired by the family tradition, continues the work of his ancestors, having the knowledge of modern silver and goldsmithing and gemology.
